Whelp, Spacehey is currently falling apart, and even if it wasn't, New York's shiny, stupid new age verification laws have Spacehey blocked indefinitely, and I'd rather not have to open up the VPN just to use one site. So I'll be using Dreamwidth for my blogging purposes going forward.

In the meantime, there's a pet project I've been struggling to realize, and it's a little hard to talk about, because I know that almost nobody would take it all that seriously...

You guys ever heard of Pooh's Adventures?

If you're unaware, Pooh's Adventures, which has lately evolved into projects like "Ash's Adventures" and "[Author's Self-Insert OC]'s Adventures" is a truly bizarre, fascinating, and occasionally creepy online trend where you take your favorite pieces of media and stick whatever characters you want into their storylines. And I mean any characters you want. There's ones where Brian Griffin has hooked up with a Sylveon, ones where the Mane Six get lightsabers and fight the Decepticons with Thomas and Friends, ones where the Weekenders hang out with the dinosaurs from The Land Before Time, it's such a fascinating mess. Winnie The Pooh is supposed to be the centerpiece of these videos, but they cram so many goddamn characters into each one, he ends up as an afterthought.

As I've always been into multifandom crossover stories, my proposal is that there can be a Pooh's Adventures that works as a coherent narrative. All it would take is effort and organization. My vision is something akin to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, where Pooh and friends are a rescue team working together to help other characters in one unified world.

Still sounds pretty silly, huh? But I think I can make it work as long as I don't take the premise too seriously.

I've got some plans and excerpts laid down, but other than that, I'm not sure how I want to visualize this? I can't animate at all, but when I try to write a scene with many different characters in one location, it doesn't have a good flow to it, so maybe it's better off told visually. I'd have to learn to get the patience to draw it as a webcomic. And I'd really like to make a wiki to really organize these ideas and show them off, but Fandom no longer accepts Pooh's Adventures-type wikis because the OGs wouldn't stop weaving borderline child porn into it (yes, I'm serious) and they migrated to Miraheze, and Miraheze is selective about this type of thing, so the best tactic would be to speak to one of their stewards about maybe I can get an exemption to their "no wikis of a similar concept" rule as long as my evolved Pooh's Adventures and the original Pooh's Adventures are distinct in structure.

And ALL of this assumes I won't just get bored of this project and break off my planned Atlantis arc into its own thing. ADHD is a bitch like that.
